School Performance Profile

To the Parents / Guardians of GSHS Students:

On October 4, 2013, the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) unveiled the Pennsylvania School Performance Profile (SPP) for schools across the Commonwealth. To view Garden Spot High School's School Performance Profile, please click here.

The Pennsylvania School Performance Profile offers a web-based resource for districts/schools to communicate performance results to our constituents and assist us in aligning and focusing resources for continuous improvement. While our scores are adequate in the eyes of PDE, we are not satisfied with our results and we will continue to work at providing the very best education for our students.

This PA School Performance Profile also serves several other purposes:

  1. Provides a building level academic score for educators as part of the Educator Effectiveness System as required by 24 P.S. § 11-1123 – Act 82 – 2012;
  2. Provides information used in determining federal accountability status for Title I schools as required by the Federal Elementary and Secondary Education Act section 1111(h)(1) and (h)2 (GSHS is not a Title I school);
  3. Informs the public of the academic performance measures of each school, comprehensive career and technical center, cyber charter and charter school in Pennsylvania; and,
  4. Provides resources to support schools as they seek to improve academic performance.

As always, if you have questions or concerns regarding Garden Spot High School's SPP, please do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you!
