Grading System

Report card and final grades are computed by transferring numerical grades into letter grades in the following manner:

 

                                            Class of 2017 and beyond  

 

                                            A    =    93% - 100%     = 4.0

 

                                            A-   =    90% - 92%      = 3.7

 

                                            B+ =    87% - 89%       = 3.3

 

                                            B    =    83% - 86%      = 3.0

 

                                            B-   =    80% - 82%      = 2.7

 

                                            C+ =    77% - 79%        = 2.3

 

                                            C    =    73% - 76%       = 2.0

 

                                            C-   =    70% - 72%       = 1.7

 

                                            D+  =    67% - 69%       = 1.3

 

                                            D    =    63% - 66%       = 1.0

 

                                            D-   =    60% - 62%       = 0.7

 

                                            F    =    = 59%              = 0.0


Final Examinations and Culminating Experience

Final examinations and/or culminating experience grades are used to assist in determining the grade for the semester and/or year. The final examination shall count as 20% of the final semester/year grade. All students are required to take both mid-year and year-end final examinations/culminating experiences, not taking final examination and/or culminating experiences will result in failure for the course.

High Honor Roll

Students who achieve a GPA of 3.80 will be named to the High Honor Roll.
Honor Roll
To be eligible for the Honor Roll, a student must have a GPA of 3.25.
