Advanced Placement (AP) Testing

College Board is instituting critical changes in the 2019-2020 school year:
 
  • For those enrolled in a Semester 1 course (i.e. AP World History, etc.) or a Full-Year Course (i.e. AP Physics C: Mechanics, etc.): Exams are ordered in the FALL – the deadline to register for an AP Exam and submit payment in the amount of $47.00 per exam (made payable to ELANCO) via the Garden Spot High School AP Coordinator is Friday, November 1, 2019.

 

      • Registration is done ONLINE through My AP using a College Board account (https://myap.collegeboard.org) – all students have already received a JOIN CODE from their individual AP Teacher and must select “YES” or “NO” to taking the individual exam by the November 1st

 

      • It is possible to request an exam after the November 1st deadline until the Semester 2 spring course orders and fall order changes deadline, but an additional late order fee of $40.00 per exam will apply.

 

  • For those enrolled in a Semester 2 course (i.e. AP Psychology, etc.): The deadline to register for an AP Exams and submit payment in the amount of $47.00 per exam (made payable to ELANCO) via the Garden Spot High School AP Coordinator is Friday, March 6, 2020.

 

      • Again, registration is done ONLINE through My AP using a College Board account – students will receive their JOIN CODE from their individual AP Teacher when they begin the Semester 2 course and must select “YES” or “NO” to taking the individual exam by the March 6th

 

  • If a student chooses to cancel an exam after the exam order dates (November 1st for Semester 1 & Full-Year courses / March 6th for Semester 2 courses) or does not take an exam that was ordered for them, a fee of $40.00 per exam will apply.
