Graduation Project

Garden Spot High School requires that all learners participate in a Service Learning Project as a graduation requirement. The Service Learning Project consists of completing 30 hours of volunteer service between grades 7 and the fall of grade 12. Hours can be completed at one event (ex.- mission trip) or over the course of a learners school career. After hours are completed, learners are required to document the experience with the Guidance Office by completing the service verification form. The form requires a signature from the person who oversees the experience as well as the completion of reflection questions by the learner. The Service Learning Verification form can be found under "School Counseling Documents".

Please bring the form to the Administrative Assistant to the Counseling Department upon completion.

  • Service Learning Hours and Journal Completion Due - November of Senior year
  • Service Learning Project Presentations - November
