Graduation Project
Garden Spot High School requires that all learners participate in a Service Learning Project as a graduation requirement. The Service Learning Project consists of completing 30 hours of volunteer service between grades 7 and the fall of grade 12. Hours can be completed at one event (ex.- mission trip) or over the course of a learners school career. After hours are completed, learners are required to document the experience with the Guidance Office by completing the service verification form. The form requires a signature from the person who oversees the experience as well as the completion of reflection questions by the learner. The Service Learning Verification Form can also be found under "Guidance Documents".
Please bring the form to the Administrative Assistant to the Counseling Department upon completion.

· Risk Management
· Concussion Training
All clearances and training are FREE for volunteers and accessible through the GSYSC website (www.gsysc.com) under the ‘Coaching Resources’ tab. The club will sign off on hours for doing the concussion training which takes about one to one and a half hours. There will be a quiz at the end of the training videos and then you will receive a certificate of completion. Your name MUST appear on the certificate, or you will have to redo the whole training. You can email all clearances and training paperwork to the GSYSC club president, Matt Graham at mattg.gsysc@gmail.com.

What can I do: Greystone Manor is a small therapeutic riding center in Lancaster. We have a variety of exciting volunteer opportunities for students. Students can work directly with our 11 therapy horses and our participants with special needs. This is a great opportunity for horse lovers, teens who love to help children with disabilities, and someone considering a career in psychology, human services, or agriculture.
