Minors (ages 14-18) residing in the Eastern Lancaster County School District, whether attending school or not, MUST have a work permit to be employed.

Applications for Work Permits are available in the High School Office, 669 East Main Street, New Holland, PA 17557-0609. Hours of operation during the school year are Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM. During the summer, hours of operation are Monday – Thursday 8:00 AM – 12 pm and 1:00 PM- 3:00 PM. Closed during Winter Break.

A parent or guardian must complete and sign the highlighted areas of the Application for Work Permits.

Minors must then return the application to the office with Proof of Age and MUST sign their work permit in the presence of the Issuing Officer.

Any of the following MUST be presented at the time of application as documentary proof of date of birth: Birth Certificate, Baptismal Certificate, Passport, or Affidavit of Parent/Guardian accompanied by physician’s statement of opinion as to the age of the minor.
